The Paris we knew -  Blow Up Photo

The art nouveau style of many of the Metro stop architecture always cheered me up with its whimsy. As you can see in the background, when we were in Paris, the city wide project of sand blasting the buildings to remove centuries of soot and grime had only just started. Most of the buildings were dark gray and black. Even within the 2 years I was at ACP, a miraculous change overcame Paris as the golden stone below was revealed.
